EnaTalk ("we", "us", "our") provides WhatsApp-based automation for small and medium businesses, including appointment reminders, festival and occasion greetings, and booking management. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to two groups of people:

• Business customers who sign up to use EnaTalk to manage their WhatsApp communication.
• End customers — the people who receive messages from a business using EnaTalk (for example, a patient receiving an appointment reminder).

2. Information we collect

We collect information necessary to provide the service, including:

• Business account details — name, business name, email address, and phone number provided during sign-up.
• WhatsApp Business Account information needed to connect your number to EnaTalk, via Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform.
• Contact details of your end customers that you upload or that are collected through WhatsApp conversations, such as names and phone numbers, for the purpose of sending reminders, wishes, or booking confirmations.
• Message content sent and received through the platform, stored to enable two-way conversations, history, and support.
• Basic usage data such as login activity and feature usage, to help us improve the product.

3. How we use this information

• To deliver the core service — sending reminders, wishes, and booking confirmations on behalf of the business using EnaTalk.
• To maintain conversation history so business owners can see and respond to customer replies.
• To provide customer support and resolve technical issues.
• To comply with WhatsApp's Business Policy and Meta's platform requirements.
• To improve the reliability and features of EnaTalk over time.

We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not use customer message content for advertising purposes.

4. How messages are sent

EnaTalk operates on Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform. Messages sent through EnaTalk are subject to WhatsApp's own Business and Commerce Policies, in addition to this policy. Businesses using EnaTalk are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from their end customers before sending messages, in line with WhatsApp's opt-in requirements.

5. Data sharing

We share data only where necessary to operate the service:

• With Meta / WhatsApp, as required to deliver messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform.
• With infrastructure and hosting providers who store data on our behalf, under appropriate confidentiality terms.
• When required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request from a competent authority.

6. Data retention

We retain business account data for as long as the account remains active, and end-customer contact and message data for as long as needed to provide the service or as instructed by the business customer. Businesses can request deletion of their data by writing to us.

7. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we encourage businesses to use strong account credentials.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to applicable law. End customers who wish to stop receiving messages from a business using EnaTalk should contact that business directly, or reply to opt out where supported.

9. Children's data

EnaTalk is intended for use by businesses communicating with their adult customers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children for our own purposes.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with a new "last updated" date on this page.
